I provide a genuinely holistic approach to Nutritional Therapy which is naturopathic and focuses completely on you, the whole person.
In assessing how I can help you to the best of my ability, I will consider not only your diet, but I will also look in depth at your symptoms, medical and life history, potential emotional factors, stress and lifestyle issues, all of which play a vital role in your health and well-being.
I may suggest functional tests to help me accurately assess what is happening in your body; if you have recently had blood tests done by your Doctor I will include a functional assessment of these as part of my comprehensive evaluation of your individual requirements.
In this way I aim to identify and work with underlying causes of any health issues, rather than focusing on suppression of symptoms.
My holistic approach uses food, lifestyle recommendations, an individually tailored supplement programme to help your body efficiently function to its optimum ability. In this way I aim to support efficient detoxification, promote metabolic balance and support maximum energy production so that together we can help to stimulate self healing and promote long term health, vibrancy and well-being.
It is my intention to help you achieve the maximum possible level of health and well-being that you can, whatever your age and level of health, to help you live your life to the full.
What can you expect from a Nutritional Therapy consultation with Liz?
When you book an appointment, I will invite you to a confidential portal and share some links to questionnaires with you. All your confidential information will be held securely within this portal along with my recommendations for you
At your first consultation I will take a detailed history which will include an overview of your general health, family history, dietary habits, digestive function and lifestyle factors. Your assessment may include the use of appropriate observations and physical signs.
I may recommend functional tests if I feel they would be helpful.
Following your first consultation I will then devise a dietary and lifestyle plan suitable for your own individual circumstances based upon the information you have given me. This may include dietary adjustments, suggestions for dietary support, lifestyle changes and food or botanical supplement recommendations.
It is important that your Family Doctor is fully aware of any health problems you may have; if you have not already consulted him / her with regards to any health concerns you may have, please do so prior to your first appointment.

How Easy is it to Eat a Healthy Diet?
Eating a healthy well balanced diet needn’t be hard work. With a little bit of knowledge about which foods are good for you, the health benefits of eating delicious nutritious foods and how to cook them, revitalising your diet along with your health and vitality could be just a step away.
Once you know what to eat, all it takes is a little preparation, plenty of guidance from me and some help from some good recipe books.
I have had problems with food intolerances and allergies since I was 20 years old, so following a gluten-free / dairy free diet is second nature. I’ve learnt over the years how to cook foods that are every bit as delicious despite the dietary restrictions, so I have plenty of know-how to help you through making dietary changes. Working full-time with children and catering for differing dietary choices in the family such as vegetarianism isn’t always easy, but second nature to me. I understand the demands of a busy lifestyle mean you need practical advice based on experience to help smooth the way through dietary changes.

Ideally we should eat as much food as possible from organic sources. Foods that are grown or reared organically avoid the use of toxic pesticides which may have an impact on our health. In addition they usually contain far higher levels of nutrients than foods from non-organic origin.
